Citizen empowerment
For the Women's Center, citizen empowerment is closely linked to a strengthened social fabric in neighborhoods, communities, and indigenous villages; it is the capacity of the actors to move from protest to proposal, to cease being passive, to take a qualitative leap and become actors capable of managing their conflicts and influencing the authorities who make decisions in the municipality, in order to achieve the resolution of their problems and difficulties.
The Women's Center works to empower the social fabric (citizen strengthening), it is like working within a network, with many people motivated to achieve the same goal; to improve living conditions in general, particularly the lives of women survivors of gender-based violence.
Interinstitutional coordination
The Women's Center understands that no organization can be empowered without networking, and that it's not simply about coordinating organizations' agendas; it's about combining knowledge, expertise, commitment, and resources to achieve comprehensive and inclusive work, where diverse organizations complement each other and confront the fragmentation of popular movements. This is the value of inter-institutional collaboration.
