Cómo navegar sin dejar rastro

Si alguien puede revisar tu teléfono o tu computadora, esto te sirve. Está escrito para leerse rápido.

What the «Quick exit» button does

The red button above takes you off this page instantly and replaces it with an empty search engine. It's for when someone walks into the room or comes up behind you.

It also removes this page from your history, so the browser's «back» button doesn't return here.

What it does NOT do

It doesn't erase the rest of your history. If you visited other pages on this site before, they're still there and someone can see them.

It doesn't protect you if there's tracking software installed on your phone, or if someone can see your internet connection's activity.

For that you need to erase your history yourself, or browse in private mode from the start.

How to clear your history on your phone

In Chrome, on Android: tap the three dots at the top right, then «History», then «Clear browsing data». You can erase just the addresses you don't want left, by pressing and holding each one.

In Safari, on iPhone: go to «Settings», scroll down to «Safari», and tap «Clear History and Website Data».

In Chrome, on iPhone: tap the three dots at the bottom right, then «History», then «Clear browsing data».

How to leave no trace from the start

Private mode doesn't save anything you visit. It's the safest option if you can use it.

In Chrome it's called «New Incognito tab» and it's in the three-dot menu. In Safari it's called «Private Browsing» and it's in the tabs button.

One thing to keep in mind: if your history was always full and suddenly appears empty, that can also draw attention. Erasing just the addresses that worry you is usually more discreet than erasing everything.
