- Identificación de buenas prácticas e incorporación de propuestas — 2022Documento en formato PDF
The women of Santa Cruz, as in any society, have practices that could be described as good or very good, although they are not always the same. There is a diversity of practices characterized by participatory processes that occur in the day-to-day life of a community, neighborhood, district, or indigenous village, processes aimed at satisfying a collective need.
Most of these practices occur at the municipal government level, where women took the initiative to develop a political advocacy strategy, achieving beneficial results for the entire community, without discrimination. The advocacy processes carried out by women leaders are also unique in their inclusiveness; no one is left out, everyone counts. The initiative is planned from a strategic perspective that incorporates an approach to individual and collective rights, and a gender perspective (in some cases). Although women's participation is emphasized, it doesn't always reflect a strategic commitment to positioning women in positions of power or their participation in decision-making.
In any case, the aim of this study is to systematize good practices insofar as they are replicable and demonstrate the development of a strategy by organized women before their local government, and also that these practices can be replicated in any other municipality in the department.
